Building Heroes

Our reporter Amanda Akass has been to visit Building Heroes, a residential college being set up at the old Court Meadow School site in Cuckfield aiming to help military veterans learn a new trade - and find a job. They're offering up to 70 former services personnel (and other unemployed young people) eight week courses in construction skills and horticulture, as well as setting up social enterprises to provide them with a job afterwards. It's due to open by Christmas and they're appealing for students to take part.
