Treatment of Clubfoot in OVCI/Usratuna in South Sudan

Clubfoot, a foot deformity that some children are born with is quite common in South Sudan but the treatment is challenging. Usratuna Rehabilitation Centre supported by OVCI in Juba offers treatment to patients coming from all over the country. Hakim Clement Emmanuel, a physiotherapist at the centre tells Radio Miraya that the treatment is life changing for beneficiaries. However, there are a lot challenges that require resources, and consistency in following through the prolonged treatment particularly by the caregivers as it lasts for 4-5 years.
