Wellmonster

"I chose this recording because it was made less than a mile from my house and I also visited the well during lockdown with my family - making the most of some bad times! I tried to add to the feeling of being inside the well, listening to birdsong etc whilst being surrounded by dripping water. I mixed the raw field recording with a half speed version run through the "Treemonster" effect in Bitwig Studio to create this sound. The whistling lead was intended to sound like some kind of bird in the trees (and also features the Treemonster effect). This was inspired by a discussion about how best to use Treemonster (a wild and ridiculous effect)."
