Jurors Brace for Visit to Murdaugh Estate #VisitToMurdaugh

Mar 01, 2023, 05:09 PM

The jury in the trial of accused murderer Alex Murdaugh visited the crime scene on Wednesday, a somber day in Walterboro, South Carolina. The jurors made a 30-minute journey from the courthouse to the Murdaugh estate, called Moselle, where the judge allowed them to see the area around the dog kennels where the murders occurred, as well as the exterior of the family's home. The jurors were left with images and memories of the crime scene, but also a heightened sense of purpose as they headed back to the courthouse to hear closing arguments and begin their deliberation. With more than 75 witnesses and over 800 documents, photographs, videos, and exhibits to review, the jury would now have to determine the guilt or innocence of the accused, weighing all of the evidence and testimony presented. The verdict in the Murdaugh trial was highly anticipated, as the nation awaited the decision of the jury on the fate of the accused murderer.
