Review the current draft budget as a supplementary to cover the remainder of this financial year. – Independent Analyst

An independent analyst is suggesting that the draft budget currently under debate in parliament be reviewed as a supplementary budget to cover the period till the end of this financial year.
Malish John, a Policy analyst at the Institute of Social Policy and Research says constitutionally the resources should be exhausted by 1st July 2022 when the new financial year begins.
Malish is also proposing that the government moves swiftly to prepare the 2022-2023 draft budget to avoid delays and unconstitutional spending of resources outside the budget framework.
The National Legislature yesterday passed the draft budget bill totaling over 287 billion pounds for its third reading with amendments. The draft is expected to be presented before The House tomorrow for its third reading and possible legislation.
