Troika: We are concerned about violence in Unity State

The Troika has expressed concern over allegations of human rights violations and abuses in Unity State. This follows reports of rape, destruction of homes, and the looting of humanitarian supplies by armed criminals in the area. Speaking to Miraya breakfast this morning, James Oates, Second Secretary Political & Human Rights at the British Embassy in Juba says the violence in Unity State has the potential to negatively affect the peace process. He called on government to institute investigations into the matter.
