Standing Brave with Caroline Lorson
Episode 13, Apr 05, 2021, 02:45 PM
I am so honored this week to sit with the lovely Caroline Lorson and have a real eye-opening convo about the troubled teened industry. I was truly shocked to hear about the happenings going on in this multi-billion dollar business. This badass rockstar woman is working alongside Paris Hilton and they are making positive life-changing waves in the world!
I am inspired deeply by warrior souls that are brave enough to face the shadow and shine their light so bright to bring massive change. You will feel her heart overflowing with love as she unapologetically faces this giant beast square in the eye to speak for the children. It is people like Caroline that will heal the world!
Caroline Lorson is a human rights activist, trauma aficionado, and believer in the power of much-needed mental health reform. Caroline grew up in sunny San Diego with her mother and grandparents but now resides in Oklahoma City, OK after living in a multitude of locations including Massachusetts, New York, and Missouri. At the age of 14, Caroline was sent to a behavior modification school, known as The Academy at Ivy Ridge, where she experienced the denial of her most basic human rights and witnessed countless instances of violence. Caroline is a survivor of institutional abuse, domestic violence, and addiction. Turning her pain into purpose, Caroline advocates for a world where the effects of trauma are understood and public policy effectively allows for the treatment and prevention of abuse in all forms.
