There are no angels in baseball

Season 1, Episode 62,   Sep 16, 2020, 02:45 AM

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.
This week, we begin by discussing the Wilpons officially selling to Steve Cohen and our complicated feelings on the matter.
Next, we talk about how once again Rob Manfred dropped the ball when it came to playing games in unhealthy conditions and how we’re not sure if he knows what the definition of a bubble is.
We then move on to “unwritten rules” once again making headlines and how respect only applies to certain baseball players.
To wrap up our baseball segment we discuss how dangerous a certain reporter can be when he continually gets scoops wrong but his latest screw up led to very real consequences for Giants’ player Alex Dickerson.
We were excited to announce a LIVE pod that will take place on September 26. It will be a Zoom event where we draw the winners from our #Dollars4Din...

It will be a Zoom event where we draw the winners from our #Dollars4Dingers fundraiser while we watch the Mets. Join us if you can!

Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
