#APOTO100

Season 1, Episode 100,   Sep 01, 2021, 11:33 AM

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.
This week, we begin by discussing the Mets’ “thumbs down” gesture and the ensuing media circus and what it says about the relationship between players and fans.
Next, we tell our Mets origin stories—how we all became Mets fans, how we started at Amazin’ Avenue, and the story of how the podcast was born.
Then, we answer questions from our listeners about the future of the Mets, our ideal Citi Field experience, favorite away ballparks, and more.
Finally, we launch #Dollars4Dingers2021! Our in-person #Dollars4Dingers raffle event will be on September 25th at 5:00pm at Katch in Astoria, Queens. We hope to see you all there! In the meantime, we will be raising money to benefit the National Domestic Violence Hotline for every Mets home run hit from September 3 through the end of the season ...
