Presidential probe committee plans Greater Jonglei peace conference in Juba

A Presidential committee investigating the persistent inter-communal conflict in Greater Jonglei is organizing a conference to bring together community representatives from the region as part of efforts to bring an end to the violence. 
The conference will last two days and will be held in Juba on a yet-to-be announced date. 

Up to three hundred participants from the various communities of Greater Jonglei including the Lou Nuer, Dinka and Murle will be in attendance.  

 In a related development, Vice President, James Wani Igga will be heading a delegation to Greater Jonglei this week to investigate the root causes of the persistent violence. 

Spokesperson of the Presidential committee, Daniel Abocha Ali, says Vice President Igga, as head of the Presidential investigation committee, will consult with community leaders in Bor and Pibor ahead of the planned conference.
