RNIB Volunteers
Jun 02, 2020, 09:00 AM
National Volunteers Week is being celebrated from the 1st of June to the 7th of June 2020 and celebrates the vital work that volunteers do to help charities provide their vital services.
We are going to hear from some of the volunteers who give up their time for RNIB, what they do, why they do it and why they would recommend supporting the UK sight loss charity.
Today we hear from Janette who is a visually impaired volunteer and a former employee of the charity.
She has now set up RNIB Forth Valley Connect, which allows blind and partially sighted people in the area to learn about new services, new social events like bowling or book groups and give feedback to RNIB on their services as well as taking part in any research being carried out.
