Calls For More Funding For Visually Impaired Pupils

Sight loss charity RNIB Scotland has, for some time now, been highlighting the attainment gap that exists between sighted and visually impaired pupils.

Their concern is the lack of dedicated classroom support to maintain standards for blind and partially sighted children, and the effect this can have on their vocational and social development.

The Scottish Government has committed more funding but the charity is asking for better targeted support for this group.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Anne-Marie Fleming from RNIB Scotland.
