Calls For More Government Funding Into Sight Loss.

When people lose, or begin to lose, their sight, it can have a major impact on their lives, their job and their independence.

The UK is one of the leading countries in the world for sight loss research but the burden of funding this has fallen, in a major way, to charities.

Fight For Sight is calling for more government money to be invested in this research, sight loss being far down the funding order, and are asking for your experiences and to learn more about the personal impact of sight loss.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Dr Rubina Ahmed about the urgency for this kind of funding and how the public can feedback on their sight loss experiences.
