Hearing From God: Responding to Bad News - Phil McKinney (6 October 2019)

 All of us receive bad news from time-to-time. Often, that bad news is associated with something we did wrong or perhaps something we should have been doing. Receiving bad news is inevitable. How we respond to it is up to us. In the book of Nehemiah, we read that Nehemiah received bad news concerning the state of the Israelites. He recognized that it was due to what they had done wrong and their lack of doing what they should have. Nehemiah could have just buried his head in the sand, mourned over their behavior or lack thereof, and just do nothing. But instead, Nehemiah prayed and acted in faith. As we continue our “Hearing from God” series, we will consider how we respond to bad news and what actions we should take according to Scripture.
