Nathan Eovaldi To Be Named Red Sox Closer Following Return

If it wasn't already obvious, this past weekend in London cemented the fact that the Red Sox bullpen is a dumpster fire.

22 runs surrendered over the course of 12 and 2/3 innings is atrocious to say the least. The Bronx Bombers had a field day.

Finally, after months of attempting to stick with his glorious plan of not recruiting any help, Dave Dombroski came to his senses. The General Manager is reportedly scouring the severely limited market for new pitchers.

In the meantime, he went ahead and named Nathan Eovaldi the official closer following his return from the injured list. It's a bold move, but, it just might salvage the current situation.

Before any of that can happen however, Boston needs to make is past this three-game set against the Toronto Blue Jays.
