California Governor Gavin Newsom, Gloria Allred & John Kobylt

Episode 43,   Jan 18, 2019, 11:49 PM

California Governor Gavin Newsom joins us for his first prime-time interview since taking office.

We talk to him shortly after he announces a $144 billion budget including a $21 billion surplus. We discuss some of his priorities: early childhood education, free community college, paid family leave, etc.

I also ask whether he'll intervene in the LAUSD Teacher's Strike.

He responds to President Trump's attacks on California & takes us behind the scenes on their recent time spent together. Surprisingly, Newsom describes how personable and warm the President was to him.

We also discuss his son's star turn at the Inauguration & his wife's choice of the title "first partner."

Then, a panel debate between attorney Gloria Allred & KFI AM radio host John Kobylt.

Kobylt advocates for building a wall. Allred does not.

They also debate whether the #MeToo movement has gone too far.
