In what may become known as the home run derby 2.0, the 89th annual MLB All-Star game featured a record setting 10 home runs. Needing extra innings to determine a winner, the American League triumphed 8-6 on the back of two Houston Astros, Alex Bregman and George Springer, who hit consecutive solo shots in the top of the tenth. For the Red Sox, Chris Sale pitched a scoreless first inning, but the offense could do nothing at the plate other than compile a few singles in a high scoring game.
