ICRC calls on Parties to consider needs of ordinary citizens ahead of Peace deal signing tomorrow
The International Committee for the Red Cross is calling on parties to the peace agreement to make sure any agreement signed takes into account the needs of the ordinary South Sudanese.
ICRC Global Director for Operations, Dominik Stillhart, was in South Sudan last week and highlighted the use of a scorched-earth tactic of in recent years.
The call comes as parties in Khartoum prepare to sign the final peace agreement.
Erika Tovar, ICRC communications officer in South Sudan says the organization stands ready to support the implementation of the agreement.
