Final Revitalized Peace Deal to be signed at IGAD Summit this week
The final signing of the revitalized peace agreement is expected to take place on Wednesday this week in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
An IGAD Council of Ministers meeting opens tomorrow (Tuesday), followed by a Heads of State summit, ahead of the official signing ceremony.
Edmund Yakani, a civil society delegate at the talks in Khartoum says reservations expressed by the SPLM-IO and Opposition Alliance in areas of governance and the constitution making process will be put on the table for discussion before the parties officially put pen to paper.
