FAO addresses root causes of conflict through natural resource management
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), is working with traditional leaders, youth and women to address natural-resource related conflict.
FAO last week held a three-day training with the selected groups to teach management and sustainable use of resources such as agricultural land, water, pasture and forests.
FAO’s Natural Resource Management Specialist, Marco Gaetano, says their trainings will also target religious leaders and farmers and livestock associations.
Gaetano spoke to Philip Wani in this 6” interview.
