13 minors in police custody in Kapoeta over alleged prostitution
Thirteen underage girls have been arrested in Kapoeta state over their alleged involvement in prostitution.
The girls were apprehended last Friday, in a search operation conducted in market places.
Kapoeta State Minister of Gender and Humanitarian Affairs, Jennifer Nabongorika said a confirmatory test for HIV/AIDS was conducted and found eight of them to be positive.
Nabongorika says the girls are being kept in police custody and will later be released to seek care and counselling.
She spoke to Radio Miraya reporter James Okello in this interview.
