The state Board of Finance approved issuing $150 million in bonds, to help build a plant at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center that would turn garbage into jet and diesel fuel. Fulcrum Sierra BioFuels plan is to take trash from a nearby landfill, refine it into sludge and send it to California for final processing into fuel. The Pleasanton California based company says they'll hire about 130 people.
