The Long Valley that burned for ten days, has finally been completely contained. The fire started July 11th near Doyle California, and charred nearly 84-thousand acres, or about 131 square miles. Pyramid Highway, SR 445, is back open after being closed in both directions just north of SR 446 because the fire was headed toward the Sutcliffe area. An evacuation advisory has been lifted for that community. Fire suppression efforts will continue as crews mop up hot spots.
