Reno Police are searching for a man in connection with two armed robberies that happened early Thursday morning, about an hour apart. The first one occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Mira Loma Drive. A man approached a woman walking alone and demanded money from her at gunpoint. She didn't have any money to give and the man took off. Police say a similar robbery occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Plumas Street. In this incident, a man approached a woman walking alone with a gun and demanded money. Police say the woman gave up an undisclosed amount of cash and the man left. Police believe the two robberies are connected, but they have not released a description. Investigators are working to get surveillance video.
