Sierra Front says Fire crews continue fighting a brush fire northwest of Reno along 395 near White Lake and the Nevada/California border. The Nevada Highway Patrol has shut down one northbound lane of 395 of Stead Boulevard. Red Rock Road is closed, and there are closures on White Lake Parkway and Crystal Canyon Boulevard, where a handful of homes have been voluntarily evacuated. Evacuations are also underway in the Silver Knolls area. An evacuation center has been set up at O'Brien Middle School. Fire management says the fire has burned somewhere between 15-hundred and two-thousand acres. Firefighters say as many as 250 homes and 70 businesses are considered threatened.

The brush fire on Brenda Way has burned at least 750 acres. The fire is east of Eastlake Boulevard and broke out near homes shortly after 3PM. Eastlake Boulevard is closed. There are evacuations in the area of Brenda Way and Spicer Street. Galena High School is the evacuation center.z Reverse 911 calls have gone to 750 homes.
