A discovery off B.C.'s north coast possible missing relic of Cold War
It's a mystery object found deep underwater where only sea cucumbers tend to live.
Diver Sean Smyrichinski discovered what might be a long lost nuclear bomb near Banks Island.
In 1950, a silver American B-36 bomber crashed in to the sea just west of Princess Royal Island on the central coast. It was on its way to Texas from Alaska and carrying 17 crew members. Twelve officers were found.
But they never found a nuclear bomb attached to the plane.
American authorities said at the time that it was released and detonated over the coast. But Smyrichinski's discovery might change that story:
