The Panel: Ending impunity for crimes against Journalists in South Sudan

Today November 02nd, on the occasion to mark the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, Miraya Breakfast Show hosted an interractive panel discussion; Best practices to ensure safety and end impunity for crimes committed against Journalists in #SouthSudan.
The three panelists were; Dr Awol Idris, #UNESCO education expert, Oliver Modi, Head of the the Union of Journalists of South Sudan and Brigadier Daniel Justin, Spokesperson of the #SouthSudan National Police Service.
The panelists concluded that it is time for the Government, the Media, Security and the Citizens take more concrete actions to protect journalists and punish those who commit crimes against them.
