Children Across Borders: German & English school children preserve WWII graves....

(Broadcast on BBC Radio Stoke, July 2016) As home to the National Memorial Arboretum Staffordshire has become known as a place for honouring people killed in war.

But it might be less well recognised as being home to the graves of five thousand German soldiers killed in World War Two.

The German Military Cemetery on Cannock Chase is the only one of its kind in the UK.

This week school children from German have been visiting, to work alongside teenagers from Staffordshire to help maintain the graves.
