Radio 1 on the Road

Fondly remembered throughout the 1970s, 80 and 90s the Radio 1 Roadshow toured the coast of the UK during the summer months - and occasionally ventured inland at other time of the year. It was a chance to see your favourite DJs and maybe get hold of a Radio 1 car sticker or ballpoint pen. Later pop acts would make an appearance as the mobile unit expanded in size. For radio geeks like me it was a chance to see how an OB was put together. These are most of the original jingles that were used on-air from 1973 until well into the 80s
