What's on our plate when we sit down to eat each day is important to all of us.
That's one reason why inspectors are calling for vigilance after fifteen people were convicted of animal health crimes in Staffordshire last year.
In total offenders paid more than thirty six thousand pounds in fines and compensation for charges ranging from fraudulently selling customers the wrong meat to giving grieving pet owners the ashes of other animals.
The convictions are the result of work by Staffordshire County Council's animal health team.
