Word of God Across the Ages: recorded at a church hymn sing I attended today

I hope nobody has any objection to me posting this hymn; it was set to the tune of Deutschland Deutschland, the old German national anthem. That melody has been used for other things as well though, including another lovely hymn called Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken. Here are the words we sang today; the recording doesn't pick them up very well, so I thought I'd post them. I loved that some people tried to harmonize; hopefully you can at least hear that. 1 Word of God across the ages comes the message to our life; source of hope forever present in our toil and fears and strife; constant witness to God's mercy, still our grace whate'er befall, guide unfailing strength eternal, offered freely to us all. 3 In the tongues of all the peoples may the message bless and heal, as devout and patient scholars more and more in depths reveal. Bless, O God, to wise and simple, all the truth of ageless worth, till all lands receive the witness and Your knowledge fills the earth. #church #hymns #music #singing
