Seoul may be almost nine thousand miles away from Stafford -- but yesterday a South Korean Navy official visited the town to award bravery medals to local men who served in the war of the 1950s.

Eighteen men were presented the Ambassador's Peace Medal at the British Legion for their role in a conflict which killed more than one thousand British servicemen and injured four thousand others.

The event was held especially for those who've been unable to travel to the far East to collect the honour.

BBC Radio Stoke's EMMA THOMAS was there...
