A Medal from Russia: 7 decades after WWII

Sir Winston Churchill described it as "the worst journey in the world".

During World War 2 British ships travelled the arctic seas to escort vital supplies to Russia -- with thousands of Royal Navy men perishing in the freezing conditions and as the result of attacks from Nazi planes and fleets.

But 71 years since the end of the war, one Staffordshire man -- who was an engineer on the deadly route -- has been honoured with a 'Ushakov' medal from Russia.
