Cannock Chase Deer: White bags saving lives...

If there's one thing that Cannock Chase has got - it's plenty of deer - but the number killed by cars driving through the area has recently been on the increase.

In the last year alone, more than 162 were knocked down. .

Now it looks like an accidental discovery from America is helping to change that.

Sticks with cotton white bags are being put next to the road - which is supposed to put the deer off from crossing the road.

BBC Radio Stoke's EMMA THOMAS has been for an early morning visit to the woods to see how the first UK trial of the technique is progressing....
