Those Pesky Little Annoying Updates
Well, the joke's on me… The most recent iOS update, (9.2.1), has inadvertently restored a number of settings back to their defaults, those being my automatic downloads, my background app refresh, my ability to update over LTE, etc. There's nothing like coming back to an updated phone, only to discover apps which shouldn't be there… Can you read the writing on the wall here? Before I even realized it, all of my pending updates had come down from the App Store. I have this new version of the AudioBoom app now, something I've been actively avoiding for some time do to the removal of a few key features. Typically the only thing that gets switched back on during the update process is the toggle for Bluetooth, but this time, unbeknownst to me everything under the iTunes/AppStore tab was enabled following the update. 😬 So, like it or not, it looks like it's here to stay. There's some twisted irony here… Nothing to do save make the best of a bad situation. Nonetheless, be careful when updating.
