Singer Tahirah Memory talks to Chris Philips

Tahirah Memory has been on tour with soul man Jarrod Lawson for over a year as part of his band The Good People. Before Jarrod's World tour this year the pair co-wrote and co-produced Tahirah's debut self released album 'Pride.' She comes from a family with a rich musical heritage, her father Thara Memory is a trumpeter and educator and Grammy Award-winner. Currently back on tour around several European cities Tahirah makes her UK solo debut with keyboard player Carl Hudson at Luton's Bear Club on November 11th. She came into Jazz FM to join Chris Philips on air for a chat about a tremendous career year which also sees Jarrod Lawson and the band play their biggest London date so far on November 14th at Shepherds Bush Empire, part of EFG London Jazz Festival.
