Film maker and author Mark Baxter talks to Chris Philips about his new film 'Tubby Hayes: A Man in a Hurry'

Saxophonist, flautist and vibes player Tubby Hayes is a true British Jazz icon. He lived fast, played hard and left a huge void after his early death aged 38. He played with great American musicians too, commanding huge respect. Writer and fan Mark Baxter releases his new film 'A Man in a Hurry' on Monday October 26 featuring rare and unseen footage, interviews with those that knew Hayes, narration from Hollywood actor Martin Freeman and a superb sound track. He spoke with Chris Philips about the making of the film with superb young film producer Lee Cogswell and the impact of Hayes music on the history of British jazz.
