The comedian Dapper Laughs, aka Dan O'Reilly, whose controversial material includes jokes about rape and homeless people, is to perform in Belfast next month. You may remember last November he said he was killing the character off, after video emerged of him saying a woman in the audience of one of his shows was "gagging for rape". More than 40 professional comedians also signed an open letter blasting his approach to comedy as sexist and degrading.

I've been speaking to the comedian himself, and asked him how he felt about being one of the most controversial comedians in the UK.
