Slaughter in Syria - Assad's Barrel Bombs More Deadly than Isis

Create Safe Zones and end the Barrel Bombing.

This was the stark message delivered to Irish politicians by Syrians living in Ireland at a protest held outside the Dail (Irish Parliament) last night. Organised by the Irish Syria Solidarity Movement the focus was on why 'Syrians are Refugees. ' Politicians were reminded that many are fleeing not only ISIS but the Assad regimes Barrel Bombs which Amnesty and Human Right Watch say have killed seven times more Syrians than Isis. These bombs are dropped routinely and indiscriminately everyday from army planes and helicopters. They have caused tens of thousands of death and devastating destruction and are responsible for the exodus of hundreds of thousands of Syrian seeking safety in Europe. Esperanza’s Anne Daly attended the protest where she spoke with Sarah who told her how her family were coping with everyday life in the midst of this horrific war.
