Business rates under fire over shop vacancy stats

The Northern Ireland Independent Retail Trade Association has expressed concern at the latest Springboard survey. It shows Northern Irelands shop vacancy rate the highest in the UK at 17.3% and footfall down by 4.5% compared to the same time last year. But it says one of the biggest factors is the the high cost of rates here
