Dawn Purvis, the former director of the Marie Stopes clinic in Belfast has accused the Prosecution service and the police of mishandling her case, after Bernie Smyth, the head of the Precious Life anti-abortion campaign group, won an appeal against her conviction for alleged harrassment. Dawn Purvis told a magistrates court that Bernie Smyth had subjected her to prolonged personal abuse because of her role in the clinic. We spoke to Dawn Purvis this morning and she told me how she felt when a judge quashed Bernie Smyth's harrassment conviction.
