The Conservative Party's outright victory in last week's election came as a surprise to many forecasters. But was the vote simply down to the fact that the British public did not trust the opposition Labour Party to run the economy well enough? That is a question we put to two leading commentators, economist Roger Bootle from Capital Economics and Andrew Simms, a fellow of the New Economics Foundation.
