Layton chiropractor charged over his weight loss program

A Layton chiropractor is accused of making false claims about a weight loss program and taking thousands of dollars from his patients. Prosecutors charged 46-year-old Michael Paul Kunzler with 11 felonies: seven counts of communication fraud, two counts of exploitation of a vulnerable adult, one count of theft by deception and one count of forgery. Kunzler operates the Rebalance Weight Loss clinic in Layton. Charging documents state that DOPL investigators found Kunzler charged people between $3,500 and $10,000 Kunzler between July 2, 2013 and Jan. 13, 2015. It states that Kunzler was marketing extreme weight loss programs through deceptive advertisements and signing up Utah consumers. DOPL investigators would like to hear from any additional consumers who had similar experiences with Kunzler.
