A free boarding school near Midhurst has finally opened to pupils from inner London - and it's head has been telling BBC Sussex he hopes the idea will become a successful model for others to follow. Year 9 pupils from Stockwell - aged 13 and 14 -are being brought in by coach to the Durand Academy near Stedham for three nights a week. The school - which has converted the former St Cuthman's School site - is hoping to win a planning appeal next year in order to create accommodation for two older year groups.
