Mahatma Gandhi statue in Parliament Square

A statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been given the go-ahead. Westminster Council in central London has given planning permission for the £600,000 sculpture in Parliament Square. It's being made by Philip Jackson whose work includes a statue of former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. He's been speaking exclusively to Asian Network.
