Invictus Games: One soldier's story from tragedy to the track...
(Broadcast on BBC Radio Stoke)
The first ever British Invictus Games is on.
More than four hundred athletes from across the world are competing at the Elizabeth Olympic Park in London for the event -- championed by Prince Harry.
The one thing the competitors all have in common is that they've served in their country's Armed Forces -- men and women from 14 nations will compete in nine adaptive sports.
One member of the hand cycling squad is from Staffordshire.
28-year-old Lance Corporal Clive Smith from Cannock -- who was a bomb disposal expert -- lost both his legs in an IED blast while on tour in Afghanistan in October 2010.
Our reporter EMMA THOMAS has been to meet Clive in training to and to get the latest on becoming mates with the Prince.
