Northumberland 2014: A perfect morning before our return to reality (August 2014)

After seven days in Northumberland, Cumbria and the Scottish Borders we began the long drive south, pausing overnight at the Woodhall Hotel, a few miles from the traditional coaching stop of Wetherby. The hotel was everything we had hoped it would be, and gave renewed energy for the trip down to London. Here, mum, Vance and I enjoy a stroll on the lawn, basking in the morning sunshine.
