Northumberland 2014: Visiting the Duke of Roxburgh's home at Floors Castle

Despite the title of this series of recordings Floors Castle is near Kelso in southern Scotland, just a few miles from Roxburgh Hotel, where my mum and I stayed for four nights in July. The building itself, turned into a fairytale-like castle in the nineteenth century proved to be surprisingly warm and homely for a large stately home as we toured it early in the day.

Later on, I recorded this, as we enjoyed a light meal in the restaurant and reflected on our walk around the house.
