Watching Le Tour De France in Leeds

What a coup it was for Yorkshire to attract the start of the 2014 Tour de France, showing off God's own county to a new worldwide audience... and I just had to be there!

So, using the excuse of the Tour to stay with my lovely friends Mark and Qing, I trundled up here on Friday evening, before making my way to Leeds for the Grand Depart. Amazingly, despite arriving only an hour or so before the departure of the Caravan, Vance and I managed to get a good spot on Headrow from which to observe Depart Fictif, before hotfooting it back to the station to get ahead of the Harrogate bound masses.

This recording follows the start of our adventure, from the train from Weeton to Leeds, to the barriers in Harrogate.
