The Ambassador to Turkey was here yesterday to open an honorary consulate for the country right at the moment when Christian-Muslim relations were in the spotlight thanks to the row over Pastor McConnell's comments. The ambassador met with the First Minister, who has backed the pastor, and the Deputy First Minister, who has condemned what both the pastor and the First Minister said.
